Project details
As each Top Gear site has a well-defined style and design features, we have retained these aspects, while at the same time satisfying all of the editors' needs for writing, reviewing and grading articles.
The responsibility of an international brand
The realization of a project of this type requires compliance with stringent regulations in terms of IT security, privacy and respect for intellectual property. A close collaboration with BBC, owners of the Top Gear brand, has allowed us to meet the standards required in these areas.
Editorial needs
To ensure maximum flexibility, and the ability to evolve over time, we opted for a customized version of the Drupal CMS, of which we used the backend. The interface part, with which the user interacts, was developed in React.js and is generated through API calls to the backend. In this way, every part of the site, from the graphics to the writing of the articles, can be optimized and modified according to the needs.
A perfectly integrated ecosystem
The enormous amount of content present, constantly increasing, made us opt for an external video distribution system, as well as for advertising activities, which we have integrated into the basic structure to improve performance and optimize speed.
